Supports the Creative team in NYC by performing the following duties:
LOCATION: New York, NY office. BMI has transitioned back to working in the office on a regular hybrid schedule. At present, most team members are expected in the office three (3) days a week. Decisions regarding future transitions will take place in phases as BMI continues to closely monitor COVID-19 as employee safety is our priority.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Provide administrative support to the NYC Creative team
Manages and monitors new industry competitive trends in music and new business developments & reports insights to the NY Pop team
Compile and distribute weekly charting songs on various platforms identifying writers, producers and artists for review at weekly meetings. (i.e. Tik Tok, Spotify, Billboard Charts and others as assigned)
Oversee the Billboard Congratulatory Cards creation and distribution OBO the entire Creative team
Manages and maintains updated lists and spreadsheets of affiliate accounts. Works collaboratively with other departments on management of accounts
Manages and tracks completion of key deliverables and follows up on outstanding items as needed. Work collaboratively with other departments on daily management of accounts
Special project work, including compiling account information as needed; organizing and analyzing data in Excel; producing PowerPoint presentations for departmental meetings
Day to day administrative help (phone calls, emails, registrations, work updates, adjustments, online access, etc.)
Manage and update the NY department’s e-mail lists for various events and monthly newsletter
Submit expenses OBO NY Creative team in a timely manner
Maintain department calendar
Regular attendance
Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred
Minimum one (1) year of administrative experience
Exceptional organizational, administrative and time management skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize high volume workload and meet strict deadlines for tasks/assignments
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Great attention to detail
Ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines
Positive, proactive, and able to always exercise great judgment, team-oriented philosophy
Strong typing and proofreading skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite
Preferred experience with Adobe Photoshop, Canva, etc. (not mandatory)
Experience working with and maintaining database systems and reports, as well as word processing and spreadsheets
Able to establish a constructive and informative relationship with employees, management, writers and publishers
Ability to interact professionally with a diverse employee population, and with all levels of staff and management
Able to work independently and with good judgment
Working knowledge of music industry trade and professional organizations
Salary Range:
$48,000.00 - $58,000.00 (USD). The specific base salary offered to a successful applicant will be based on individual qualifications, skills, experience and education. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. The position may also be eligible for one or more performance-based bonuses.
