About BMI
We are BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.), a global leader in music rights management, serving as an advocate for the value of music. BMI represents the public performance rights in over 20.6 million musical works from across all genres that are created and owned by more than 1.3 million songwriters, composers and publishers. We negotiate music license agreements and distribute the fees they generate as royalties to our affiliates when their songs are performed in public. We also work closely with the songwriting and composing community to help guide and nurture their creative development. BMI’s repertoire contains compositions ranging from today’s biggest hits to classic songs that define the musical landscape and everything in between.  We have offices in Nashville, New York, Los Angeles, Austin, London, Atlanta, Washington, DC.

How We Advocate for Creators
BMI is a powerful voice on Capitol Hill in the fight for fair compensation for music creators and copyright owners. We are engaged in ongoing conversation with the U.S. Department of Justice regarding BMI's decades-old consent decree, and we are consistently on the frontlines supporting historic music legislation like the Music Modernization Act (MMA), which benefits all music creators.

Core Values
We uphold a set of core values that guide our daily interactions and enhance the quality of our workplace. These core values are what set us apart—and bring us together.  Our core values include the following: Integrity, Dedication, Inclusion and Respect, Accountability and Teamwork, Adaptability and Courage, and Effective Communication

Diversity and Inclusion
BMI is committed to developing an inclusive culture that fosters creativity, productivity and mutual respect of all individuals.  We recognize that inclusion makes us stronger and plays a crucial role in achieving business results.  Just as we value the art of songwriting, we value the unique characteristics that each team member brings to the table.
