POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for providing hospitality services for events, activities, and meetings held at the BMI New York office to include executing various tasks needed for planning, setup, maintaining, monitoring, and cleaning up. Assist Executive Department with special projects as assigned. Provide Front Desk coverage as needed.
LOCATION: New York, NY office. BMI team members are expected to adhere to a hybrid in-office schedule.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Executes planning, set-up, service, breakdown and clean-up of meetings and events, including after-hours hospitality events.
Responsible for system of reserving and scheduling all NY conference rooms and guest offices.
Provides leadership and direction to other personnel assigned to special events and activities, including other Company team members and outside vendors.
Performs general housekeeping duties throughout the Company office, including maintaining Executive area, conference rooms, and keeping assigned coffee stations and kitchen service area clean throughout the day (including cleaning all appliances, countertops, sinks, and other items).
Stocks, inventories and orders supplies as needed.
Maintains event supply inventory, including tracking items that are removed and returned.
Ensures accurate and timely orders for catering services at the direction of Executive Office.
Manages invoices to ensures timely processing and proper payment of vendor services.
Serves as courier for local pick-up and delivery as needed.
Provides back-up coverage for the front desk as needed, including:
Answers incoming telephone calls, determines the purpose of calls and forwards calls to appropriate team members or department.
Answers general questions about Company and provides callers with address, directions and other information.
Administers visitor reservation and check-in system for building security.
Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business and announces visitors to appropriate departments or team members.
Monitors visitor access to Company offices, including maintaining visitor access system for building security.
Takes and delivers messages or transfer calls to voice mail when appropriate team members are unavailable. Retrieves messages from voice mail and forwards to appropriate team members.
Assists General Services and Executive teams with other special projects as needed.

Regular attendance.
In-person attendance is required up to five days per week (excluding Company holidays).
May require flexibility in scheduling and hours worked.
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: Five years or more of general housekeeping, food and beverage or catering experience preferred.

SALARY RANGE
$55,000.00 - $70,000.00 (USD). The specific base salary offered to a successful applicant will be based on individual qualifications, skills, experience, and education. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. The position may also be eligible for one or more performance-based bonuses.
