Coordinator, Business Affairs (Hybrid)
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for evaluating candidates and preparing files for copyright infringement litigation, which includes obtaining and analyzing the required documentation necessary to prepare Certified Infringement files. Maintains accurate records and update BMI systems/databases. Written and telephonic communications with internal and external individuals, as well as contact with local and state governmental agencies.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Essential Functions: which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
- Obtain information necessary to prepare infringement files.
- Conduct research via telephone, internet, and internal systems (i.e, establishment details).
- Interact with other departments within BMI to investigate businesses and/or coordinate activities.
- Communicate with external individuals including state and local governmental agencies.
- Draft correspondence.
- Collaborate with and coordinate regional infringement file process flow with assigned attorney.
- Assist with special projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Regular attendance.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 1 years’ experience in an office environment preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, knowledge of Access
- Proficient in basic Internet functions and research techniques
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and take initiative
- Ability to speak effectively to internal and external individuals
- Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence
SALARY RANGE
The specific base salary offered to a successful applicant will be based on individual qualifications, skills, experience, and education. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. The position may also be eligible for one or more performance-based bonuses.
