Scrum Master

Broadcast Music, Inc. Nashville, TN (Onsite) Full-Time

POSITION SUMMARY
Executes sprint utilizing an agile based System Development Life Cycle for project teams in the implementation of technology and business-oriented projects. Works on challenging, highly visible, and highly complex projects which requires agile/scrum experience to be successful.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Essential Functions: which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.

  • Drives agile based SDLC for software development adhering to standards, tools, and best practices.
  • Plans and executes Spring.
  • Removes team impediments while promoting self-management.
  • Measures sprint performance and escalates issues as needed.
  • Facilitates sprint-related meetings.
  • Constantly improves our standards of work.
  • Performs capacity planning.
  • Hosts daily stand-ups.
  • Coaches team on process.
  • Ensures sprint resource stability.
  • Schedules and prepares for demos with team.
  • Schedules and runs Sprint retrospectives.
  • Protects team from distractions.
  • Monitors task completion (and Team Foundation Server (TFS) compliance).
  • Tracks and communicates sprint/release progress.
  • Assists in release planning.
  • Maintains sprint management dashboard in TFS.
  • Facilitates discussion and conflict resolution.
  • Partners with all project team roles and stakeholders.
  • Empowers team to self-organize where possible.
  • Participates in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices.
  • Facilitates the prioritization and resolution of defects/bugs.
  • Assists with internal and external communication and improves transparency.
  • Ensures teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility.
  • Maintains process documentation.
  • Assists with backlog maintenance.
  • Continues education in related disciplines.
  • Performs special projects or duties as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Regular attendance.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Four-year college degree in computer systems design or computer science, and/or 3 years equivalent work experience.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of agile/scrum experience. Minimum of two (2) years of application development experience.

SALARY RANGE 

The specific base salary offered to a successful applicant will be based on individual qualifications, skills, experience, and education. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. The position may also be eligible for one or more performance-based bonuses.
