POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of Strategic Programs team processes and policies -- working with the Transformation team and other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs. In addition, this role: will support some of the most challenging, highly visible, and highly complex projects in the Company to ensure the successful delivery of initiatives under BMI’s Value Creation Plan (VCP); and strategic alignment of project management practices with business objectives.
LOCATION
Nashville, TN office. BMI has transitioned back to working in the office on a regular hybrid schedule. At present, most team members are expected in the office three (3) days a week. Decisions regarding future transitions will take place in phases as BMI continues to closely monitor COVID-19 as employee safety is our priority.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Essential Functions: which may be representative, but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
- Supports the Company’s strategies by contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction.
- Supports the analysis, selection, and roll-out of Project Management tools as appropriate.
- Ensures functional area deliverables are understood, cross-functionally aligned, and execution of deliverables and timelines are on track.
- Leads and coordinates delivery of assigned projects; provides direct input and individual contributions, as necessary, to ensure results delivery.
- Leads project quality and post-mortem functions to mitigate and address project delivery challenges in the support of continuous improvement efforts.
- Prepares regular, thorough, and articulate executive summaries for senior leadership and stakeholders on project status and performance.
- Ensures VCP initiatives meet stated goals and objectives within the allotted budget, defined schedule, and parameters.
- Monitors, refines, and tracks project budgets.
- Develops and manages project plans, scopes of work, and schedules; develops milestones and conducts critical path monitoring.
- Maintains a register of portfolio/project risks and issues; collaborates with project managers to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Defines and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) and project metrics
- Supports the implementation of project management governance frameworks, methodologies, standards, and best practices to guide project execution.
- Supports planning for and coordination of resources, taking into consideration inter and intra project and team dependencies.
- Conducts regular project reviews to assess progress, risks, and resource requirements, escalating and resolving issues as needed.
- Delivers executive presentations related to assigned projects.
- Plans and facilitates meetings as appropriate; prepares and provides status updates to Executive team and others as appropriate.
- Supports development of repeatable processes and templates to facilitate change impact analysis and actionable plans for change management.
- Facilitates implementation of initiative change management plans and execution activities to ensure successful integration into our operations.
- Supports BMI Core Values and cultivates a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Keeps abreast of evolving technologies, solutions, methodologies, and best practices.
- Regular in-office attendance.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Four (4) year bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent years of experience. MBA preferred.
Experience: Minimum of five years of project management and/or strategy execution leadership work; two years of agile/scrum experience.

LICENSE(S)/CERTIFICATIONS PREFERRED
Project Management Professional (PMP); PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP); PgMP (Program Management Professional).
SALARY RANGE
The specific base salary offered to a successful applicant will be based on individual qualifications, skills, experience, and education. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. The position may also be eligible for one or more performance-based bonuses.
