Sr. Director, DAS Process Improvement
POSITION SUMMARY
Leads the Distribution and Administration Services process improvement efforts providing internal consulting services to business process owners as it relates to process documentation, improvement and engineering. Works with business process owners and cross-functional teams to improve the consistency and quality of the service delivery while lowering overall cost.
LOCATION
Nashville, TN office. BMI has transitioned back to working in the office on a regular hybrid schedule. At present, most team members are expected in the office three (3) days a week. Decisions regarding future transitions will take place in phases as BMI continues to closely monitor COVID-19 as employee safety is our priority.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Essential Functions: representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
- Analyzes existing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. This may involve collecting data, interviewing stakeholders, and mapping out workflows.
- Designs solutions to improve processes, such as developing new workflows, recommending new tools or technologies, or proposing changes to organizational structure.
- Implements process improvements, which may involve working with cross-functional teams to ensure buy-in and successful adoption of new processes.
- Establishes metrics to measure the effectiveness of new processes and continuously monitoring performance to identify further opportunities for improvement.
- Communicates regularly with stakeholders, including senior management, to provide updates on process improvement initiatives and their impact on business outcomes.
- Keeps up with industry trends and best practices to ensure that the organization is continuously improving and evolving its processes.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education/Knowledge: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Engineering. Equitable years of experience will be considered.
Experience: Minimum five (5) years process re-engineering/consulting or other relevant experience.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
- Expert knowledge of process improvement and process reengineering techniques (root cause analysis, gap analysis, business requirements, lean, six sigma, continuous process improvement, process reengineering, etc.).
- Extensive and successful background in process re-engineering and design.
- Working with management to define/refine key performance metrics.
- Success in leading/influencing process change in large, corporate-wide change efforts preferred. This includes strategic planning for people impact; aligning project and people strategies.
- High-energy self-starter with history of successful accomplishments.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Proven ability to influence and manage in a matrixed environment.
- Solid project management skills.
- Efficiency and quality focused.
- Able to simplify and effectively communicate complex information.
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
License(s)/Certifications Required: Six Sigma Black Belt (preferred).
SALARY RANGE
The specific base salary offered to a successful applicant will be based on individual qualifications, skills, experience, and education. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. The position may also be eligible for one or more performance-based bonuses.
